About Us

My passion for photography started with an impulse gift of a new camera from my husband and two children who loved to be photographed. It fast became an intense hobby of mine and within a short time my camera went everywhere with me.

I realised that although there were a lot of photographers in New Zealand, the charges for their time were quite often prohibitive for the everyday family to afford, which is when I came up with the idea of the client just paying for the finished product.

I used to frame my work but I now prefer canvas as an option, as it has greater depth and impact with texture and no borders or frames to detract from the photography itself.

My camera goes everywhere with me and when I am looking at a scenic view, where possible I try and capture a different angle that gives people an alternative view of the area I am photographing to the usual.

I enjoy all types of photography but in particular I love photographing children and capturing their uniqueness and individual characters by spending time with them until they feel unselfconscious and naturally at ease before I bring my camera out.

I come from the UK so I see New Zealand through a different ‘pair of eyes’ to an actual New Zealander. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside with character and spectacular views at every corner – to capture these sites is particularly fulfilling.

To have a job that is your hobby and passion is a rare and exciting opportunity – I love it!
